Club Championship Rules

 

Each Angler will be scored on section points

Each  angler will need to fish 5 matches of 8 to count in the Club Championship

The points will be 1 point for first, 2 points for second, 3 points for third, 4 points for fourth.5 points for      fifth. If there are more the 5 anglers in the section ,then 5 points will be the highest points scored for the    other anglers in the section

If there is a draw on points, then the best weight of the 5 best matches will win.

If there is still a draw, then it will go on most sections wins

                  General Match Fishing Rules

 

All anglers must have a valid rod license

The keepnet must be 2.5m long to meet Angling Trust Separation.

If you want to rake your peg this must be finished 40 minutes before the start of the match.

Clearing your peg is ok but only what impacts on your ability to fish.

No fishing before the start time also stop fishing at the finish time.

Only 1 hook and line to be used at any time

You fish 1 m up your peg and down stream 1m from the next peg

No pre baiting  before the match starts

No artificial baits.

No pike or zander will count to your weight

In the event of a fish being hooked but not landed before the final signal to stop fishing the competitor will be allowed an additional 15 minutes in which to play and land the fish.

Any Carp are to weighed and witnessed then put back, not go in your keep net.

If it is hot please use 2 nets tospliy the fish to give them as much room as possible
