YOUNG ANGLERS TRAINING SCHEME
At Offord & Buckden Fishing Society (OBAS), our mission is to Inspire more people to fish more often and ensure the club is around for future generations to enjoy. We firmly believe one of the best ways to accomplish this is by encouraging young people to join our angling club and visit our fisheries.
If you are interested in learning to fish then register with our Young Anglers Training Scheme HERE You will have access to exclusive sessions with our team of qualified coaches, with all tackle and bait provided.
First YATS Training Session
We held our first YATS Young Anglers Training Scheme Coaching Day, in the car park pool at Offord Cluny. Many thanks to Bob, Steve H, Barney, Stephen Mobbs & Barry Brittain & yours truly for making a very successful day. Three of us newly trained coaches took around 9 youngsters to give them their first opportunity to catch some fish. All that took part caught between 11 & 17 fish of varying species. You will hopefully see from their smiling faces they enjoyed the experience. Thanks also go to Lawn Farm for supplying the bait at a very reasonable rate.
