Second Round Club Championship

We held our second match of the season, well done to Barry Brittain, ably assisted by Steve Harman.

Congratulations to those that were in the frame, the conditions weren’t ideal with very high winds and almost unprecedented temperatures

16 Anglers took part with two anglers not weighing in. See results sheet attached

3rd Round Club Championship Results

We had our 3rd round of the club championship on Sunday 9th August

Too say the weed made things difficult is a understatement plus 2 boats breaking down along B & C sections. Even with the weeds was bad at times the stretch fished well A great weight of 10Lbs 1oz was the winning weight with 8Lb being second and 6Lb 14 oz third. Well done all with putting up with conditions.

4th Round Club Championship Results

Good evening

We had a match on B & C section today 31st August , with the rain in the last few days the river is finally starting to get some pace but the floating weed still a problem in some areas.

The overall weights were a lot better.

Mark Dickerson won the match for peg 12 with a brilliant 16 pound 4oz Marks weight consisted of good size roach and a few large perch. It was a brilliant overall performance.

Ricky Green was second with a great catch of roach for 12 pound.

Melcolm Gibbs was third with 9 pound 13oz

Section 1 winner was James Gillard 8 pound 1oz

Section 2 winner was Richard Sayers 7 pound 1oz

Section 3 winner was Ray Myring 7 pound 5oz

The next match is on the 13th of September on B & C section please be aware that all pegs will be booked for this match

6Th Round Club Championship Results

Good evening

We had a match yesterday on B & C section Which was the 6th round of the club championship. With the river not in the best condition the weights were very good.

Peter Jordan was first with 9-12oz main he caught mainly Bleak.

Mike Clarke was second 7-4oz with some of the best Roach caught this season.

Ricky Green was third with 6-8oz

Section 1 winner was Barry Brattain

Section 2 winner was James Gillard

Section 3 winner was Keith Carne

Well done to Charlotte Bowers who caught a nice perch over 2 pounds.
