Good evening !
Please find below the November update from OBAS .
After the recent drought it’s good to be able report that the recent rain has increased the flow and added much needed oxygen to the river . This has prompted the fish to feed and this has shown in improved catches by pleasure and match anglers .
Fished on B & C sections , Peter Jordan won our last match with 9lb 12oz of mostly Bleak while Mike Clark included some good sized Roach to be runner up . One of our lady members , Charlotte Bowers , included a Perch of over 2lb in her catch and others reported big Perch and Pike chasing their hooked fish . Our Work Party group has been busy and have done a great job clearing the Top Stream bank for better access but we needed to employ Contractors with a Weed boat for two days to clear the Carpark Pool area . Contractors were also called in to clear two big fallen Willow Trees on the Triangle below the White Bridge . It will take several work parties to clear the area and make the area safe before it’s fishable . Other work parties are planned and offers of help will be greatly appreciated , especially from members under 60 ! Tea and cake likely !

Cheers
